FEMMIXX.COM MISSION
In just under a year Femmixx.com the premiere site for female music producers & djs has filled a void in the industry that has been vacant for so long. The boy beat-makers have been getting much shine, but watch out, Femmixx.com has shown and proved that women can do more than rap and sing. Women make hot beats and dj too.
Femmixx.com put the myth to sleep by showcasing female producers and djs such as Misseducated from the UK , DJ Ultraviolet from Philly, DJ Fusion from New Jersey , Sohn Pru from Cali , Jewel from Jersey City , Ayana Soyini from Atlanta , DJ Polywog from the Bay area and the list goes on. Femmixx.com puts forth passion to highlight female producers, djs, and movers and shakers. Femmixx.com also interviews male producers and movers and shakers in the industry to start bridging the gap through dialogue. Femmixx.com has started an evolution.

QUOTES
“I always knew that female producers and djs were alive and well, who can bang out hot beats “ Femmixx.com is the first to take this leap and I am proud to be a part of creating this fast growing venture. We are showing that women can take control and hang tough with the boys as they bring their own energies in their artistry whether it is music production, djin’, rapping and/or owning their own businesses.”
-Tachelle Shamash Wilkes, Founder of Femmixx.com
“Femmixx.com is making an impact on the industry by putting the spotlight on females that are in this thing called hip hop whether she's a dj, an emcee or a producer. We are bringing women to the forefront by exposing them to the public and showing that these women are hip hop and they are right up there with the best of them in the boys club of production. Dj'ing and mc'ing and that they are not some gimmick or side show to entertain while the boys get ready to do their thing. As we stated it's not a competition between the sexes to see who's better, but a platform to raise women above the sea of monotony and to bring to the industry, what is lacking right now, Diversity!”
